OK Guys
Djinni or Efreeti? Which one would you choose if you had a sorcerer? which is the most usefull in IWDII? Why? I was going to choose mordy's sword as my first level 7 spell but its not as good (IMO) as the BG2 version, and I really need a summons in case my cleric gets knocked over.

I dislike both because they actually attack my characters after I summon them. talk about being loyal to your summoner.

They're both quite unusable(prot from evil thing) and weak, so I'd take Mordenkainen, it's one hellova sword!

Mord's Sword is just fine in IWD2. Sure, it acts differently, but it is very useful just the same.
As far as summons, I like having multiple spellcasters that can have some summoning spells. And generally speaking, I prefer the plain old Summon Monster/Animal spells, since they can be ordered about safely and will not turn on you. However, the elemental and demon summon spells can be very fun to use under the proper circumstances. |

The book says nothing about them turning on you unless you mistreat them, say they get caught in a fireball effect or such. Only elamentals and demon types are supposed to attack you unless protected from evil IIRC

not sure, but there are other better spells at that level. spells like delayed fireball or even that makensomething sword.
if you really want a summon spell try shade, they got higher hp and are more durable. |

If I remember correctly, the Shade has some resistance or something, but I can't remember.
