My mage character seems to be under the effect of blind, even when she has never been by a spell or cursed item... Her range of sight is about two feet, thus when she needs to cast a spell she has to walk over to the target, which is not so good for a mage to do...
Is this is a bug?

Nature's Beauty perhaps? Try a dispel magic on her.

Spectacles work. Are you fully patched? Mod list?

Further to shamrock's and Sir Degrader's posts that recommend Dispel Magic and patching (consider Baldurdash too), try Remove Curse too.
I'm assuming your mage isn't a Wild Mage (a class from the Throne of Bhaal expansion) or that this problem didn't occur in Watcher's Keep (another Throne of Bhaal thing). I'm also assuming that you've slept / rested for at least 8 hours in order to try to overcome this issue. Try (enabling cheats and then) Ctrl-R for an insta-heal. |

The things is, I've just installed this game, but my Throne of Bhaal only works on my other computer. It's unpatched and unmodded.
I have tried sleeping over it and dispel magic, but to no avail, so I'm going to try cluaconsole...

I think the blind priests for the Cult of the Eyeless quest permanantly blind characters. A heal spell should remove it.

Hmm, I do have played that quest... but I remember it happening before that, and also in other games, but then, it stopped after a while.

All right, the Heal spell worked. It's solved now.
