Re: Anyone here use Ubuntu?
I see; thanks.
So, would this sub for Windows, or do people run with both, as I have heard of in the past?

Re: Anyone here use Ubuntu?
Prior to the Army moving to Office 07 and corporate providing me with MS Office Enterprise 2007, the only OS on this rig was Ubuntu. But alas, since all of the transformation, this rig has been resurected into a MS Win XP rig only. However, the spare HDD is loaded with Ubuntu, and only needs a moment to be brought back into action.

Re: Anyone here use Ubuntu?
For those who have used it:
Do y'all find it preferable over Windows?

I thought stick was manual? Maybe you meant automatic?

Re: Anyone here use Ubuntu?
I think he meant that. I'm just not sure which meaning was intended.

Hopefully people start taking a hint and start releasing drivers for linux - just as they do with OSX and windows. If that happened THEN it would be a feasible (and preferable) alternative. I mean, its free, its fast, and its regularly updated. Though I was on it for a bit, my wireless card and my tablet refused to work (remember drivers..) . SO I'm back drudging on XP (which I have to confess - is great from a productivity POV)
