Sanctuary ... what a spell ! Spoiler ! ......

Well I tried using sanctuary to get the magic items in the golem room in De'Arnes Keep and all I can say is wow. I send the cleric in alone under sanctuary and when I grabed the magic items the golems turned red but didnt even budge. The spell rocks and is totally underated !!!

its basically the same as invisablity for practical purposes only it doesnt last as long. Both of them allow you to cast defensive spells witout going away. only invisablily lasts longer and can be cast on anyone and allows thieves to backstab with it.only you cant manipulate enviroment with it.

The downside to using it is you miss out on the 30k of XP from killing those golems.

Yeah but you can be attacked when invisible ! You cant be attacked when in sanctuary.

i know some people cast true sight,but how can the enemy attack you if your invisable? surely they cant see you

I thought if you were invisible you could only be attacked if someone cast a spell such as invisibility purge, true sight, dispel illusion, that kind of thing? Please tell me if I'm wrong, I wouldn't want to make some deadly error as a result!!

I have used both invisibility and sanctuary to get those items off the golems (with invisibility it's a bit more difficult as you have to grab all the gear and then cast invisibility - I needed some summoned creatures to distract the golems while I cast - potions are better, but I didn't have any on me). I can put up with missing the exp. because I usually have a low level, wounded exhausted party at that point of the game - I tend to do the keep early, since with the exception of the golems it is not too difficult and reaps some rich treasures.

Depends on the monster you are fighting i think. For example demons (like the glabrezu and these nasty guys) can attack you even if you are invisible, but i dont think they can attack you if you have casted sanctuary.

Oh yes, Demons I knew there was something that could see through invisibility.
