I saw the Movie Trailer for this Film (Based on the Novel of the same name by Tom Clancy)
I just HAD to go out and buy this book! 931 pages too! WooHoo! Its about a missing nuke (Russians) and it 'finds' itself INSIDE the United States. Tom is a KILLER suspense Author, if you are into these types of 'What-if' Situations, you may like this!! If anyone has read this, just give me some quick review (With NO spoilers!!) just tell me if you enjoyed it! |

I've read Rainbow Six, Executive Orders and one other one that I can't 'member the name of and I fully enjoyed all of them, Executive Orders took a while to get the story going I thought but still a good read.

I have read The Sum of All Fears and it frankly annoyed the hell out of me, but that is mostly because of my politics. It is a good book and well written. My only major problem with it is that all the characters seem to be pretty 2 Dimensional except for Ryan. All in all, not a bad book.

It's a pretty good book IMO; like most of Clancy's it draws you in right to the very end. I don't think it is one of his best though, maybe just a little too far fetched, and didn't seem to flow like many of the others do.

I've read all his books, and this is a pretty good one. You get a really good insight into how a nuclear weapon works. It is very appropriate now after 9/11 as well, because the basic premise of the story is a bunch of terrorists finding an old russian nuclear bomb that never detonated and turning it into a modern thermonuclear device to be used against the U.S. Great read, but not Clancy's best. If you enjoy this, go get yourself a copy of Debt of Honor. By far his best work.
