A friend who is staying in Knutsford, Chesire wrote to us. Unfortunately we can't make out the return address, and I would be grateful if someone could help fill in the blanks:
The address is: Willow Green (I have deliberately omitted the house number) ___heath Park (this is the part I need help. I can't make out the first bit) Knutsford Chesire WA16 6AX (hope the postal code can help) Thanks.

OK, the site you want is for our postal service:
Royal Mail or you can use this good information site: Up My Street BUT to be honest you don't need it. Our postcodes identify different streets and blocks of housing. The house number and postcode are enough for the letter to get to the correct place! Magic, eh? So just leave out the line you're not sure about, it will be delivered just fine. But - put the postcode - WA16 6AX - on a seperate line of the address with no other information, that way the sorting machines can read it automatically and it will get to its destination quicker. i tend to use tesco site now (bizarrely ) when you set up an account and you choose a post code it lists every possible house number for that area, and as tesco is widespread in the uk i havent failed to find one yet
obviously the other more conventional replies suffice as well but: defy convention |
