So what do you think Attalus, do they have wings ? I have about 10 different minatures that show the Balrog (Gothmog) with wing's and these minatures are not exactly new ones, heck they are older then at least half the members on this board , yes I know this dates me a bit but it is true and I personally think they have wings, wings of fire albiet but wings nonetheless

My newyears feast consited of a 12 sirloin Roast that was marinated with with cloves of garlic inserted into the meat as well as a plethora of other spices and teriyaki. A mixed veggie salad, mashed taters, sweet white corn, biscuit's, and a bunch of other goodies, Im still exhausted from making it all and even talking about it brings back the memories. I am with Ronn I want the link too But everyone knows that Balrogs have wings if they want them. Basicly all a Balrog is, is a twisted evil Maiar, who can assume whatever physical form that suits them, Altho rereading the Silmarillion, it doesnt appear that they did this willy nilly, so maybe it wasn't a simple matter. Even Morgoth didn't constantly change shapes, and in the end he was stripped of the power to change.....oh wow I am waaay on the geek side of LoTR....

All right, you guys, here it is. The posts I am referring to are in the thread entitled, "The Balrog's Understanding." LOL, you should both join, we could have the Ironworks clique. It really is a good forum, no spamming, flaming, or political discussions allowed. I have been spending more time there of late than here, because those guys and gals really know their Tolkein, and the discussions ar fascinating.

Well, some light spamming, as in the "A Hollow Tree in Lorien" thread. But, no nonsense posts.

No, they don't allow them in sigs. Their avatars aren't a patch on Ziroc's either. The only rankings are, when you get 200 posts, you can make your own permanent rank. I plasn on using "Swan Knight of Dol Amroth."
