Dalekeeper newbie--help!! :)

I just did what I swore I wouldn't do, I downloaded Dalekeeper. I can't get over all the choices of stuff!! Alot of it I've never heard of before. I do have ?? I KNOW someone can answer for me. Even tho I've played various D&D games before I never really understood the dice part of it. So my ?? is, I want to make my THAC0 better, so I do that by raising or lowering the number? I think one charactor has a Thaco of 10 is this good? Should I raise or lower that number? It's gonna take awhile to outfit everyone, but with the choices I now have it should be a bit easier. Thanx!!!

THAC0 is a number that, on a 20 sided die, is needed to hit an adversary with a Armor Class of 0. The lower the number the better, since anything over that number is also considered a "hit". So, since your THAC0 is 10, you would need to roll a 10 (or more) to hit the monster with an AC of 0.

So, if your THAC0 is 1, you would never miss, unless the monster provided penalties to your THAC0. Or, if you are negatively affected by a spell, condition, or some other factor.
