Why are so many RPG websites out there that have to have these irritating Midifiles playing in the back, god I hate them, They can oh so ruin a perfectly good site.

I suppose because they think that it enhances the site. I for one hate Midi music and hunt them down with gusto should I find one on my machine.

But the main reason is I am surfing at night, and when I hit a site that blares music, it wakes up my Wife, and pisses her off, and me too.. heheh.. What I have done is go into IE options and turn OFF Audio play. it works most of the time.. but yeah, one of THE rules of a good website says "Do not play music". But if you really have to, play something very quiet, and subtle.. ------------------ Ziroc™ Ironworks Webmaster www.tgeweb.com/ironworks |

the problem is, i often HAVE my music playing when doing anything on my computer, and my speakers are typically VERY loud! so when they have music, it disrupts me terribly! i quickly leave the site or just turn the volume all the way down...

Well midi files in the backround are ok imho as long as you can turn them on and off, or chose the songs that it playes in the backround.

Not to mention that for those people who "stealth-surf" from work, to have a MIDI come blasting out of their speakers....BUSTED!!! (most annoying...sure am glad we don't have speakers up here at the school!)
