Hello everybody I'm writing to here at first time now!
And I would like to ask a question from you proffs... Im now playing BG2 SoA as a sorcerer I think it's my 4th time to play this game trough from beginning [img]smile.gif[/img] And I'm asking what rings should I wear and is there another good staff than staff of magi? I got ToB and TDD Please I need an answer soon! And if anyone can tell any good tactics on sorcerer I dont bother. I'm quite young and from Finland so please forgive my bad english... Cya all I think I'm going to be here quite often. |

Ring of Gaxx is always a good ring to wear. Immunity to Poison and a decent (if not good) regeneration rate. The other ring could as well be anything really, Fire Resistance, Invisibility; it all depends on what character you're playing and what you want to do with him or her.

I'm playing a sorcerer right now with viconia korgan jan edwin and a monk. I usually reserve the ring of gaxx and ring of regeneration for mellee fighters and have my sorceror wear the ring of wizardy and the other ring which looks like it... (acuity?)

My Sorcerer has ring of Wizardry on all the time, and the other slot changes often. it depends on when some ring might fit the situation better. for example, ring of free action can come in handy facing enemies that can hold you.
as for SotM...that's THE staff for mage-related classes: nasty, useful, powerful (and even overpowered); I don't want to see a more powerful staff in the game [img]tongue.gif[/img]

The Ring of Free Action, Ring of Gaxx, Ring of Acuity and Ring of Wizardry all come to mind. As for staves, yes, the Staff of the Ram has no peer, though SotM is still one hell of an item.
It also depends on if you're soloing or not. If you're soloing as a sorc, you'll want that Ring of Free Action on at all times. If you're in a party, you'll want to give the rings of Wizardry and Acuity to other party members... Sorcs can cast enough spells, and you might want to level the playing field just a bit. But that's just personal preference.

Gaxx is good, although im sure u kno its very hard to obtain.
