My wife is pregnant, due in June, and were thinking of names. If It's a boy we already have a name chosen, Seth Allen Martin. I want a girl though, and If we do we're thinking of either Megan Luise Martin, witch my wife likes, or Basil Luise Martin, being my preferance. What do you all think? Any other uncommon names you can think ok? Check us out at the link below. Picture was takin recently.

I like Basil, but only if you pronounce it the English way.

I've only heard it mentioned for males. One is in the Bond flicks, and the other is some twit I met in London who may have looked better than me but couldn't keep me from stealing his gal regardless.

The only Basil I've heard of was Basil Rathbone, who played Sherlock Holmes.
I would associate the name with a male. But that doesn't mean a lot...

Bummer. I never would have associated it with a male. Any other ideas?

The female version of Basil is Pesto.
A few (real) female names I like are Kyla and Chandra (means stampeding herd of elephants) |
