I have just started BG2 and am in the first dungeon. I have Imoen,Minsc,Jahiera, and Yoshimo in the party. I happened to find the exit early(though I do have the Dryad quest) and am wondering if I should leave now? I did leave and the exit caved in behind me. Do I go back to a previous "save" and finish the dungeon, or will I be able to get in there later in the game? Is there anyone else left to rescue? Spoil me.

You can't get back into the first dungeon.

After the first 3 games of SoA, you'll never want to again

There are a couple more battles in the dungeon, and one semi-decent belt for you to pick up. To be honest, in your first game you should really try and do as much as possible on your own and ALWAYS try and complete dungeons/prisons/wilderness maps etc.

There are some nice items in the first dungeon, some will provide you with a nice starting bonus some you may keep until the end of the game. Hope you didn't miss them.

I second that. In fact there is a certain Helm somewhere in the dungeon wich is so good that you can use it to the end of ToB.

Its not just so good that you can use it to the end of ToB, it even manages to retain it's usefulness to the end of ToB.

*ahem* let me put it this way: It's the best damn Helmet in the entire game--there is *nothing* that you would rather have in your Head slot more often, unless you're a Wizard.

Note: There are several places in this game that, once you leave them, will not allow you to return. In such places, it is advisable to milk them for all they're worth, and the only real reason for leaving early is if a party member might die if you stay any longer.

Pfffft! The usefulness of that helm depends on how you want to tweak your character. Personally, it is only my second favourite helm (excluding Ioun Stones). Sometimes you want Elemental Resistances or raw Physical Damage Resistance.

Or charm protection (assuming you can't easily get it some other way).

As for dungeons that are un-re-enterable... how many are there? I'm going to SPOIL some people here now, I suppose (it's too bad there's no UBB code to mark text you must swipe with the mouse to read - is there?).

Spoiler Ahead>>>
(That is how we do it here)

There's Irenicus' dungeon. There's also Haer'dalis' planar prison. The d'Arnise stronghold is effectively wiped once you talk to Nalia after killing the head troll. And there's the portion of Hell reached via Lavok's sphere. The Spellhold Asylum. Bodhi's nightmare dungeon (with all the riddles you must solve, etc.) That's about as far as I've gotten so far; I reckon there's more like this in the Underdark, not to mention ToB.

Check the FAQ--there is a code, and it's posted there.

Really, Dundee shouldn't have gone through all that trouble of making a FAQ for the BGII forum, people don't care either way.....

Here's the codes:

#3D2F1B dark
#44341D light
