I too agree that it isn't fair to close threads because a minority didn't like the discussion. If there is flaming, fine - but if certain people don't like the topic, then they should stay out of the thread, not try to get the thread closed.

Truth to tell, I really didn't see anything in that post that warranted closing it at the time...but that's Ziroc's call, not mine. He knows what's best, and it's his decision, everyone.

Uh, not to be difficult here, but did anyone stop and think that maybe the emails Z got said that somebody thought they WERE flamed? I don't know, obviously, but I suspect Z takes that sort of thing into account when making decisions like locking threads.

Man, I took some heat but I didn't email Ziroc. I wish the thread wasn't locked and that the forum wasn't split, but I also care about the feelings of you guys, and respect Zirocs decisions. He's easily the most tolerant, light handed forum administrator on the net and I support his decisions 100%
