There'll be a sort of a language week show at my school in a few weeks(in lack of ability to say it in a better way ). I've voluntarily taken the responsibility to search for songs that are good and easy to learn and compile a CD for them. My class shall have to pick the best song to sing it in front of the school.

So far I've got:

Beatles - Yellow Submarine. A lovely song with a nice analogy. Very easy to sing too. The only (although great) disadvantage is that it was sung last year, so I won't pick this song.

Queen - Bicycle Race. Cool song, but it could prove difficult to sing. It might be too fast and loud.

Roy Orbison - Pretty Woman. A very cool song but the vocals are too high at times. Also, while the party at hand features members from both genders, this song could probably only be sung by boys

So, in truth, I haven't actually found a fitting song yet.

Bear in mind that while I and one of my classmates sing in the choir, the other vocalists do not, so I shall not use my voice to its full extension for obvious reasons. There will be only about 15 people to sing the currently undetermined song.

Thanks in advance.

I think a lot of Beatles songs would be easy to sing, maybe you could put together a medley. Songs like Yesterday, Let It Be, Here Comes the Sun, Love Me Do, A Hard Day's Night, Eight Days a Week, maybe finish with something funny like Octopus's Garden.

Gonna Fly Now. It's got very few words. Then move up the Rocky trilogy, with "Eye of the Tiger", then "Burning Heart", then finish with "Measure of a Man". Congradulations, you now know enough english to finish high School.

Dress up like a bunch of Jamaicans, including dreadlocks and everything, present yourself as Tyrone Green, and sing this

Haven't had a drop today (yet)

This is quite an oldie actually. It's from Saturdaynight Live, sketches with Eddie Murphy. I have them on videotape as well.
