I was lying in bed, watching The Young Ones, when it crossed my mind that it is a BBC series, and made me wonder how far it got away from Britain...

For those of you unaware, The Young Ones was a song by Cliff Richard, and a hit TV series about a group of English students, it was dead funny...hehehe...

Among other BBC classics were Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and Horses. Anyone outside Britain hear of these programmes? Anyone in Britain remember and like them?

BBC comedies in Singapore (that I can remember, list spans many years):

Radio:
I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

TV:
Mr Bean
'Allo 'Allo
Mind Your Language
Fawlty Towers
Benny Hill Show
A show starring Richard Corbett (short guy, not sure if I got the name right)
A number of shows starring Eric Sykes
Monty Python

There are probably several others, but these are the ones that come to mind right now.

I was also fond of the Monopoly they played -
"Congratulations, it is your birthday, you may set fire to Riks bed" and
"Get Out of Gaol Free Card - You may keep this card, sell it, or stick it up Rik's bottom"

Does no-one else have any fave Young Ones episodes?

Of course! How could I forget Monty Python's Flying Circus? I'm pretty sure they stopped making that before I was born, but it's still goooood :-D

Also, u might mean Ronnie Corbett - looks a bit like a mole?

Lentil soup anyone? I don't have a fav but the one where they go on a gameshow was one that stuck in my mind, also the one when they were on holiday.

Lots of good ones.Mr.bean,black adder, fawlty towers, are you being served, are you being served again, benny hill, keeping up apperances,
absolutly fabulious, monty python, red dwarf. There was one about a retirement home with an incompetent manager and the old folks had revolts, had sex,and basicly made him look the fool I think the name had something to do with death or dieing.
