anyone ever have a problem with the bottoms of their feets where it really hurts to put pressure (like stand with weight toward it) on a certain spot?

I have this strange calluse that is almost as hard as one of my fingernails there, i removed it with a sharp pointy object for now, but im not sure what it was or if it will grow back. any ideas?

I also have a patch of rough skin near my left ankle that every few months or so will get very very rough and peel partially leaving portions of dead and live skin around it that no matter how hard i try can never get rid of all of the dead skin. Eventualy it seems to grow back to normal skin though.

I think what is on tho bottom of your feet are called planters warts. I had them a long time ago, when I was young and a foot doctor helped me get rid of them. I don't remember how. Here are some links that I hope will help:

It could be that your footwear doesn't fit correctly... I have the same problem, but I can't seem to fix it...

Apparantly, warts are caused by a virus, or so the woman applying liquid nitrogen to my foot said... I still don't quite understand though, because virii as far as I can think are all passed through something...I mean, more often than not it comes out of your mouth, no? but warts don't seem to weep or anythign like that, they just seem like raised skin...

What you do with any wart is hack it, slash it and burn it

Skywalker, I think you are right, but it is PlantAr not planter. Warts are a virus, and since you touch stuff with your hands, and walk on stuff with your feet, you can pick up these viri. A little Compound-W from the local pharmacy, applied WAY more often than they say, and you'll be home free. Get a kind that dries white/clear, not pink, so it'll look like dry skin, not wart remover gunk.
