Yes Masklinn - unfortunately your national team failed to qualify - but look on the bright side - at least they won't go out in the first round this time

You mean to say you have never played French Cricket Masklinn - I used to play it all the time when I was a kid. Great game for all the family.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic my friend - French Cricket (not sure how it got that name) is a game played with a cricket bat and a ball. The batter's task is to hit the ball into the ground and prevent it being caught or hitting his legs. He is not able to move his legs (ie feet stay in the same direction), and the fielders toss the ball underarm from wherever they field the ball. A good tactic is to get behind the player and throw the ball into thebatters legs before he can whip the bat around in defence. If you catch the ball, or throw the ball into the batter's legs you get to bat. Feigning to throw or baulking )like a handball player shooting for goal) is allowed. With 3 brothers, I played this game a lot as a child.

Maybe French Cricket isn't very French after all.

I suspect not.

By they way, did you hear Tony Grieg get all aggressive defensive when Thommo suggested he stick to the facts about Warnie rather than invent scuttlebut - was on the coverage just now. Tony was fuming
