I am back for a while thanks to my local library. Our damnable ISP finally sent a technician to check out the problem with our connection, but once he noticed it he merely sent a report to his boss and then went to do something else instead of just fixing the damn thing!

Now we've got to wait, again, until the report gets checked and ANOTHER technician gets around to actually fixing our problem. They've got 2 days before I visit them with a large blunt object.

All of this trouble just because we wanted to upgrade our connection....

That really bites. I had considered going to cable but the prices here in Austrlia are ridiculous. Go over a certain download limit and they cut you off permanently. I wouldnt even think about going to ADSL since it would be very easy to get charged $3,000 per month.

Glad you found a library that has the net

Well glad to hear that you've found a place with the internet Neb. You know you can take up reading now since your ISP is down and out for awhile.

Great Neb! But the only reason I posted here is because I work at a library. So, thank God indeed!

It is pretty expensive huh? Although I don't think they cut you off if you go over the limit - you just get charged 20c per 1mb over. Also you could use Optus - they have no limit
