Thanks Moni!
I was going to use one of them for my sig, but with the new regulations it isn't possible... not to worry

Very nice birds, I really like zoo's, though they can be a little sad sometimes, seeing all of the caged animals.

Hey if you want to you still may be able to if you can resize them smaller!

You know, San Antonio Zoo was the first zoo I ever visited in my life where I did not walk away feeling sorry for the animals! (I have been to zoos from Cincinnati to Honolulu too!) They get excellent care, and other than the cats appearing a little hot (they suffer worse heat in their natural habitats) they all seemed pretty content! The elephants even had a constant shower that one was taking advantage of and the one whose pic I posted, gave himself a good spray down with a big puddle of muddy water that he seemed to enjoy "owning"
It truly is a must see for any animal lover!

My only worry is some natural or unnatural national diseaster that lets these beasts loose or keeps them caged with no one to tend to them.
Now that would be sad!

See you!

Moni

Well, its good that the animals are well cared for. Don't get me wrong, I love visiting the zoo, and I think zoo's can contribute a lot to the future of animals through breeding programs and such like.
I have only ever been to melbourne zoo, so I don't know what any others are like. I will have to travel one day, so as I can find out.

Do you have a favourite animal?
I like the little Meerkats.

Moni, yes I have about 2 weeks of vacation time saved. I just dont have any plans yet. The new Pandas are the biggest attraction at the National zoo here. Since they were rented the zoo has had over a million visitors!

Sylent,
A favorite huh.
Wow, that's hard because I like them all.
I think I am most fascinated by birds.
When I was in my teens, I was to be able to identify, by sight, every known species of bird on the planet so (LOL) yeah, I guess it would be birds.

Never go to the Phoenix (Arizona) Zoo if you get the chance. That is just too hot a climate to keep exotic animals.

Hugs!
Moni
