It is in Shurugeon Castle, in a chest in the back of the room guarded by the Demon Haleabus.

Welcome to the board, Beli.
I see you have been well answered. When you bring the shroud to Erathsmedor you practically have to walk almost into him to be close enough to deliver the shroud. In general you should try to say every possible word to NPCs. Many people do not find the Shroud of Elsera simply because they do not have the patience to talk all the way with characters like D'Soto. That is why many people also miss out on Kol's key, Sarellia's glowstone and so forth. [ 07-11-2004, 05:33 PM: Message edited by: bsftcs ]

Welcome to the board, Beli!
D'Soto, at least, is thoughtful enough to complain if you leave before you've talked about The Word & The Shroud ("Wait!...") Most of the rest of them will let you happily wander off empty-handed. [ 07-11-2004, 07:29 PM: Message edited by: aleph_null1 ] |

Welcome to the boards, beli! May your travels in the Gael Serran be far more than even the bards will boast of...
You've got good answers so far, as well as some half-spoilers for the future. It is important, in your first game, to talk thoroughly with every character. You never know what you might learn... Come back and let us know how you're doing

The shroud gives a great defensive bonus as well, but you'll lose it once you have to give it to Erathsmador. I wonder...if you're unpatched, is it possible to keep the shroud?

You can pickpocket it from him -- or just kill him, as he's worth just shy of 2 million XP (for a non-elf).
But shield +6 is not that cool; Cet's pyramid is full of +9 dragon shields, if you happen to like shield (I hate the things...) |
