Collesium before Shrine???

I'm anxious to get the tomes for Zenmaster and was wondering if I can do the collesium before I do the shrine. I've tree-surfed to the other side and set up a portal so I can get back whenever needed but just finished Skull Castle.

I've explored all the water over there and found the collesium but didn't want to get trapped in there if something was needed from the Shrine. Any help would be great.

i am not sure if u need nething other than the breathers and masks and stuff...but if u can get the zenmaster earlier go for it

but SAVE befor u go inside!!!!

Hmm... the 4th Tome is in the Pyramid, meaning you'd have to clear out both Collasium and the Pyramid to get the last two. Once you're in the pyramid, just kill Cet, although I wonder how the Cet encounter will go if you've haven't activated the 1st portal and never revived Anephas in the Shrine...

You also don't need to kill Cet to get the fourth tome, but it is in the Pyramid.IMHO, why bother? The role isn't all that exciting. I've played the game six times through, and this last time is with a zen master and a valkyrie, which, to me, makes the game a bit boring and unchallenging.

Alicat,
When you played it thru with the Zenmaster did you crank up the difficulty and spawn rate? I'm hoping that it will be just as challenging. I'm planning on starting maybe one more character (like a ratling?? the ones that get gold digger trait) and the Zen will be his protector. Maybe it won't be as fun as I'm thinkin' it'll be. Still wanna give it a shot tho.
