Desperately need Graphic card advice!

slicer: Well, my specs are: - AMD AthlonXP 2400+ (2.0GHz) 512 MB RAM PC2700 GeForce FX5200 128MB Windows XP Pro erm...I think that's all the important ones...tell me if you need another spec.

well im also using gforce fx5200 with 256 ram win2000 and 2ghz only.. nearly a level lower than your computer and my computer works fine with the antivirus running and everything else is on.. it just could be the drivers.

The drivers are the latest ones (53.03 or something), I have no firewalls or anti-virus protections...(lost it recently)...hm...I'll try it again. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Glad to hear it. We debated over a new card for my fiance and went with the geforce, but weren't sure if we'd made the right call! And since you've always given good advice in the past, I'm glad to see this!
