I don't know about you guys but I'm going to miss the BG series. When I finished it with my original BG1 character (Paladin modded to a Cavalier with shadowkeeper for BG2) I felt a little depressed. It is without a doubt, the most fun game I have ever played. TOB seemed a little rushed but it was an excellent job considering the circumstances. NWN looks like it will be a good game, but I'll miss ol Minsc, Jaheira and Imoen.

She's more valuable than the arrows of Melf, More useful than the Scorcher and Magic Missle Conbined, Join the ALSB, just sign on the line! |

Yeah... more sequels wouldn't make sense, but it was a great series of games. They were, beyond a doubt, very, very good games. I'll miss them.

Don't give up hope yet! We might still see:
BG3: Minsc and Boo: Butt-kicking for goodness! ------------------ Worshipper of Tiax. Wielder of the ancient Lawyer spells. Member of the HADB clan. Ally of the Fluffy Queen and the Dreaded Red Fluffy General of the highest class and Leader of the Legal Department in the IW Peacekeeping Force. ORT member, Official Demander of Stuff. I read somewhere that the stuff in TOB was meant for BG3 until somebody bought the rights to D&D or something and Black Isle werent allowed to make any more, but could do an expansion. Maybe this is all crap of course.
And if Minsc & co are not in NWN somebody will insert them by force, I hope, so not all is lost. Its more than likely the tools provided will be up to the job of doing it even before the hackers get to work on it. And since NWN is true 3d maybe that blasted elf will get her wings back and stop whining.(hey, it could happen)(she might even stop whining) Since NWN is designed for editing we could even be seeing unofficial sequels appearing for download. I personally hope so cos i want my adventures with Minsc etc to continue for a very long time indeed. years, decades even. I've yet to finish BG2 (up to ch.3), but I would miss it if it weren't for the fact that I have so many nits with the storyline. Frankly, I'm looking forward to NWN and seeing what kinds of campaigns and storylines other people can come up with.
