there are a lot of options and consequences in this game which makes it a pretty good one. the only thing that it lacks is the random encounters which i think adds life to your pc.

Some reasons:
-The gameplay is great, with many quests and sub-quests -Outstanding graphics -Your character get's really strong -Many NPCs to choose between Etc, etc. |

what Sir Exxon said times 2. i don't know how u found it boring, i mean i use to hate these kind of games but BGII got me hooked on them, and i didn;t get bored for a sec. But i was mighty angry...i didn;t know u could pause the game and for almost half of it i was struggling to control my characters. OF course when i discovered u could pause, i furiously cursed my inanimate cat figure.

FYI: Merlin, if you post twice by accident, you should erase one of them.
i think BG2 is so good because it's huge! sometimes you could be talking to someone, and it'll give you 2 possible lines, and each one could change the total outcome of the game! that's why i love it. there are so many quests, and each time you play the game it's completely different!!!

-Deep
-Strategy -Epic -Fun to play I find it hellaciously boring until I either A) Start to fight liches, dragons and the like B) Get to Spellhold but when I'm there, I have so much fun it sometimes takes me as little as 5 hours to beat the rest of the game, that's how much fun it is.

The depth and breadth of the campaign with NPC interactions. Cities and towns are bustling with activities (day and night), lots and lots of things to do, and your choice of dialogs impacts what can happen later on. It's not just hack and slash. So many different charaters types to play means I'll be doing it over and over again. Just like BG1. FYI: I have not finished the game yet. For gosh sakes, who wants to be stuck behind a computer playing games when it's summer?!?

One of the things I liked best about BGII (compared to BGI) was that from the very beginning, you think you have things figured out and are on familiar ground and the game throws something at you to send you spinning again. The great plot, NPC involvement and character development are great.

If you didn’t think the game was any good why did you play it through three times?
Why do you belong to a forum about the game? Why do you post in the forum? Enquiring minds want to know.

Ok. I agree.
But I'm getting bored waiting for BG3. THERE MUST BE one.
