I'm thinking of going to a sports club. How would you compare the aforementioned sports games? Which do you prefer and why?

Thanks in advance.

I prefer tennis, it just seems like more of a workout to me.

I play Badminton all year, and Tennis in the summer. I prefer Badminton as I go to a good club, it's challenging, and it keeps you fit (the same could be applied for Tennis).

Badminton focuses more on your agility and hand movement rather than power, and if you've ever watched it on TV before you'l see how agile the professionals are. Not really got much to say on the subject, other than Badminton is a lot of fun, and you can do it no matter the weather, which is always a plus.

From what I hear, badminton is phisically more draining(burns more calories an such), and is less stressfull(no badminton elbow or knee). Everything points at badminton to be better of the two.

i played badminton in physical education in high school and I really liked it. It's really fun, I'd take it over tennis any day.

Some statistics in the internet that can be found in various sites say that badminton is more demanding and intense. Also, the record ball speed is quicker. Despite that, a few friends of mine that go to a tennis club tell me that badminton is boring next to tennis. Do any of you who have played both games have a logical explanation for that opinion?

I would assume because in Tennis, you can be running all over the place, and smashing the ball here and there, whereas in badminton you rely only on agility and quickness of the arm, and taking one or two steps to get to the birdie.

I had tennis coaching from around age 11 - 16 and gave that up and since then have been playing badminton at least twice a week for the last 7 years. They are both fun but I think badminton is still better because I personally think there's a nicer dynamic range in the shots, very soft subtle drop shots and massive power smashes. It's easier to place the shuttle where you want allowing for greater tactical play. Well anyway yeah I prefer badminton hands down now and yeah it's true that badminton can be played in any weather - indoor tennis courts are rarer

I've played both, but much prefer tennis.

I believe, that playing tennis well is harder than playing badminton well.
