Yep heres a special one-
Woman Feeds Medicine-Laced Pastry to Man .c The Associated Press BATH, N.Y. (AP) - A woman spiked her elderly neighbor's apple strudel cake with medicine after learning the 82-year-old man was going to include her in his will, authorities said. ``Luckily, he noticed the pills in the strudel before he got more than a bite or two of it,'' said prosecutor Travis J. Barry. Barry said Jennifer Clark laced the pastry with a nighttime pain reliever to try to hasten her inheritance. Clark, 26, was originally charged with attempted assault. But under an agreement with prosecutors, she is expected to plead guilty Nov. 22 to reckless endangerment, which carries up to six years in prison. ``The elderly gentleman was in a frail state,'' Barry said. ``She did this not knowing what the result might be.'' Clark was pregnant at the time of the Sept. 20 incident and was released from jail to give birth in mid-October. She is now confined to her home in Bath, about 60 miles from Rochester, and is monitored electronically. 11/09/04 17:57 EST Copyright 2004 The Associated Press. Yes how lovely she is. (not!)
I guess it goes to show you may not want to tell anyone if you are including them in your Will. You think you know people, but when money is involved... eh... The Ted Binion case going on right now is a good example of the same sort of thing. |
