The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines: this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone[i]* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner * any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences) -a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately! * Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!) * do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it. Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course! The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by. Cloudy, your hostess [img]graemlins/ladyhearts.gif[/img]

Pangur's first into the cafe?
Todays topic: The little things that really irritate !! Of the brilliant scientific advances in the world today, why can you no longer buy peanut butter in Australia that doesn't have sugar added to it ?

I'M BACK! I can post and everything! Cloudy please disreguard the e-mail I sent to you. When I changed my e-mail address, it automatically sent a new password to that e-mail address. I got it and it's working. Hurray. I'm going to go and e-mail Dan and let him know that at least this headache is fixed for him. Goodness knows he has enough on his plate without having to worry about one member who can't post, but he still took the time to find a solution. Thanks Ziroc! Thanks to all the IW memebers who have gone out of there way to help, Azred, Micah, Downunda, Johnny, Cloudy, Cyril and last but not least Choc. You guys rock!

MM-MM Good...
I'll tell you what's a good peanut butter... Rece's... it's like 75% lard and 10% uncooked cookie doh... And its amazing! you oughta try it sometime without it being in a little chocolate cup As for sugared peanut butter... it seems to be al the rage, nobody likes peanut butter just made from peanuts any more... my suggestion is to get one of those home peanut-butter makers... sort of like the home-made icecream makers but well makes peanut butter.. I remember having one when I was a child in Germany...

It's absolutely flying!

Morning, all. Pangur, my wife eats Peter Pan Very Low Sodium ("No salt or sugar added") and I believe that they make a no-sugar version, with some salt. She is training for a marathon, so she has put both of us on a diet.
CV, glad you could get back on.

Another brand I've never seen in Australia. Never mind me, I'm a little grobblish tonight. I'm having minor surgery tomorrow. I'm not worried about the surgery, just about how much of my hair they are going to have to cut off. It's taken me 15 years to grow it as long as it is now !!

No Peter Pan in Oz? It's the best seller in the USA. Though not the best tasting. That would be Reese's. It's fairly new, the company has been selling candy, like Peanut Butter Cups for decades, but they have just gotten around to marketing their own Peanut Butter. Some bright boy in marketing must have had a lightbulb go on over his head, "Hmm, we are famous for peanut butter candy, and E.T. gave us international exposure, how about making out own peanut butter?" And the rest, as they say, is history.
