The Icewind Dale series (Icewind Dale, Heart of Winter, and Trials of the Luremaster) is a very good game.
I think the Baldur's gate series (BG w/ TotSC and BG II w/ ToB) was much better just because I enjoyed being able to explore all of the areas. Some people found the series to be too epic of a saga and became overwhelmed by the size and depth of the story. I think that Planescape:Torment is a better game than all of them but some people didn't enjoy all of the dialog. My advice is to get Planescape:Torment either from the bargin bin at Super Walmart (as a dual-jewel with Soulbringer) or at Interplay's Store from the main page. Then play the Icewind Dale series. Besides you will need to have a break from the Baldur's Gate series before you start Icewind Dale. Enjoy! [ 07-27-2002, 05:06 PM: Message edited by: DaemonJ ] |
