I just have to show of with this, I just started playing a soreceror and now at the end of the game I have an AC of -5 lol (Not bad for a spell caster)
Equipment: Robe of venca, Staff of the magi, Ring of protection +2, Ring of Gaxx and gauntlets of Dexterity for 18 dex. I've never tried a sorceror before I tend to prefer big beefy fighters but I must admit I love the sorceror class. |

AC isn't really all that much to be bragging about, really. There's always someone who has a better AC than you. with a fun little item from ToB i have gotten an AC of -21, even though i couldn't cast spells. very nice for Dead Magic Zones when i was soloing.
No matter how good, how smart, how fast, how powerful, and how efficient your character is, there's always someone better.

Hey, that's cool! The highest AC my spellcasters have had is -1...
But my Barbarian has once gotten up to -19. That's the highest I can remember. |

Hmmm.....at the very beginning of ToB, my Cleric/Mage had an AC of -10 while casting Mage spells, and that was without the best stuff (like the Ring of Gaxx), which is supposed to go on your Tank. Of course, this guy was Evil, and so could keep his DEX point and get a +2 AC bonus at the same time.

A swashbuckler is an excellent class if it's low AC you're after. I had around -12 once I got to the end of SoA. I can certainly recommend this kit
