Resting

Ok, i started a new game and when i got to the copper corronet, i tryed resting, and the game messed up and froze my computer. THEN, next time i got on again i told bernard i wanted to rent a room again and it just ended BG. so, i loaded again then i went outside to rest, and it kicks me out again!! what is this? is this a known bug? any help is welcome. thanks

P.S. When i download the patch, where do i download it to and do i have to put it in my override folder?

I would definetly try installing the patch that you can find here [img]smile.gif[/img]

EDIT: Oh and when you download it, it comes as a program of it's own, and it will know where to put itself, so to speak

It really sounds like your Rest Movies (rat scurries from bed to bed, tent with campfire, rat scurries through dungeon) are corrupted. You may have to do a full reinstall using someone else's disks, so the UNcorrupted movies are written to your hard drive. Do you have a problem with the sunrise/sunset movies? (tents, trees, sky changes from day to night)

no, i dont have problems with the night and day thing.. so im downloading the patch now to try and see if that works. If not, ill reinstall and try again. The reason i dont think somethings wrong with the Rest Files is because i rested in the first dugneon and it didnt mess up then. I rested in their becuase i gave my sorcerer demension door (the new game i started has my old sorcerer, i plan to remove the exp cap) so when i started the game i didnt see it in my spell place so i rested then found it, so maybe demsion door is the problem? i used shadowkeeper to give it to him.
