When I first met Yuxonomei I did this, my ranger went cloest to the room where Yuxonomei is to take the brute power of her and her guard (-11 AC so he can take the punishment) while My brother used his mage ( always to the back) to summon some creatures, haste them to take on the guards, and throwed in some magic, poision arrow or missile and the odd fire ball more for the gaurds while the summon creatures moved in. When my ranger got badly injured, moved out of the battle and used some Elixer of health potions to recover and just finshed off the job.
weapons wise I was using the defender axe, which I think is a +2, -1 on missiles, and a -1 AC with it, but don't take my word beacuse my memory is a bit rough, to much Flower mead Ale.
