This topic was probably on a long time ago, but I haven't seen it up, and since the complicated intellectual topics might fry our brains in the summer heat, here's something less challenging:

What is your favorite drink? And why?

By this, I mean any kind of drink, be it skim milk (yum!), apple cider or hard cider, a cocktail, a beer type or brand, or tap water. Whatever you like.

Mine is most likely hot tea... but that could change at any time. I like it because I find tea relaxing yet stimulating, peaceful, and can come in many flavors (although I don't much care for herbals).

Bundy (rum) and Coke - just a half nip thanks , and some ice to keep it cool.

Oh, and Cider's not bad, but it has a tendancy to leap out of a glass at socially awkward moments

Interesting how many people on this board like Pepsi. I can't stand it, nor can any of my friends or relatives (all prefer Coke, or better yet, Dr. Pepper, and no, Dr. Wells and Mr. Pibb just won't do).

Along those lines of taste, I got the latest (August?) issue of Consumer Reports yesterday, which features a review of beers. My husband and I disagreed with 90% of the testers' views. Then again, the ratings were made on the basis of only two beer testers, which is hardly a fair evaluation. Anybody else see that?

My opinion is that there's something for everyone. That's why these manufacturers stay in business -- someone is paying for their products.
