I'm suffering from a strong squad-tactic addiction!

I bought both Commandos 2 and Fallout tactics from the bargain bin.
The first one is really cool. Good AI, nice graphics, good mission objectives and a lot more. But it is more a sneak-puzzle than a combat game (up to the Kwai river bridge mission, at least).
I've just tried mission 1 of fallout tactics. So far, although the combat system is much better, AI is not as good (you can shoot like a madman, no enemy will hear you if he's 20 yards away). That may change as i go deeper in the game.

I miss the good ol' days of XCOM. Anybody has a title to suggest?

Since you appear to be an X-com fan, perhaps you can help me, I've tried the three first X-Com games: Enemy Unknown, Terror from the Deep and Apocalypse. But some time ago I believe that I spotted X-Com: Alliance and X-Com: Enforcer. What are those games? Are they worth acquiring? *sigh* I miss X-Com, no game can hope to compare when it comes to squad-based action.

I only played the first 2 XCOMs. I didn't knew they made other titles!?!
I'll have to check... but i doubt i can play a 256 colours in 320 X 400 game anymore.

I agree with you, XCOM has the best squad-based combat system. The managment part was a real pain though.

ive played 1,2, and also 3. x-com 3 is one of the most interesting games ive played (but ive never finished it because it was waaayy long game) the one thing that differs from the first two is that you can also play in REAL TIME (turn based is optional) and there is a whole new different strategy. the only different thing about this is that your in a city and not the whole world.

WARNING: dont buy x-com 4 it sucks!! (because its not even an xcom game) they changed it to a flight simulartor game ... stupid game developers

Guess i'll have to bring my shovel to the bargain bin soon. I hope they still sell a copy of XCOM 3 somewhere...

Thanks for the input. If you know other titles, don't be shy
