Where can i find sentinel shield +4

Hi folks
i was browsing through my friends bg2 guide the other day and there was an awesome shield that gave +5 ac...it says a merchant in drow city will carry this item..but there is only 1 merchant ..the creature one and visaj doesnt carry it either

does anyone know where i can locate this drow [img]smile.gif[/img]
also is there a way to keep drow items cause the armors are really helpful [img]smile.gif[/img]

There is no way to keep drow items. Once you enter an area not defined as a dungeon, they vanish. And about that shield: don't know, but you get the next best thing after doing the 'unseeing eye' quest. Shield+3 is not THAT bad :>

1. There are three merchants at the merchant place in the drow city. One of them is selling the shield.
2. The Sentinel Shield is not a "drow item" as well as all other items sold in the drow city are not "drow items". The shield as well as all other items bought in the city will not disintegrate after leaving Underdark. Drow items, which will disintegrate, are those items that you loot from dead drows and that are named "Drow item xxxx", for example, "Drow Adamantine Mail" and so on.

Actually, there is a way to keep Drow items like Armours, unless you're soloing the game, that is....

It's up to you if you want to use it or if it's too cheesy for you. Here's what you do:
Wait until you're ready to leave the Underdark. Put all the armour and other drow stuff in your bag of holding. Then give it to a party member like Jaheira, Imoen or Minsc. Then remove them from the party (make sure your rep is OK with their alignment or they'll leave for good). They will go straight back to Athkatla, and when you pick them up there, they'll still have the Drow items. This is because the trigger that causes it to disintegrate is entering the area outside the Underdark where the elves are. Note: when you have to return to that area later, you can leave your stuff in the woodland area where Elhan will lead you. Oh and if you have TOB installed, note that upon entering the pocket plane, Drow items will disintegrate as well.
