Time to run a virusscan then. You should do that at least once a week anyway. Surfing on the internet is worse than walking in a SARS infected city, theoretically spoken.

People are stupid, and some quite large corporations are stupid enough to have AV scanners that auto-send a warning to the address mentioned in the email header. As anyone with any net savvy knows, the email header can be spoofed without too much effort. The virus attaches your email addy to the from field and its not as easy as you might think to find the true origin.

Anyway, you wind up getting warnings about sending out viruses even though your clean. Run a scan just to be on the safe side, but its probably someone you know who had the virus and your addy got attached to it.

McAfee sucks. Take Norton instead, they're A LOT better. I have had nothing but trouble when I was using McAfee.

What? No words about the great NOD 32?
In my estimation, that thing is God.

What probably happened is that someone who knows you got a virus. It spoofed your email address as the From address to try to throw people off. If you want to figure out exactly who's responsible, you can look in the email headers and find the real sender.
