Hey.
My beserker is currently at level 9, and I intend to dual-class him to a cleric at either level 10 or 12. I'm kind of leaning towards level 12, considering the THACO and extra proficiencies. But, what level do YOU guys think I should dual-class at? Thanks~ Cheers! -Shmack |

I always dual at about level 12. If you wait too long it takes ages to get your original skills back!

If you wait until level 13, your fighter gains an extra 1/2 attack a round.

I wouldn't level up because then you can't use some of the kick @$$ weapons that are restricted b/c of the clerics religous beliefs. Plus, Aerie and Jahiera (assuming you have either of the two) are both Clerics. If you don't have Jahiera or Aerie then you might want to consider dual classing.

if you dual class at level 9 you will get to level 20 as a cleric. If you duel at level 13 you will only get to about level 15. Also a cleric at level 20 has a thaco of 8 better that a level 13 fighter, and in throne of bhaal at level 40 youil have a thaco of at least -4 as a cleric

I generally avoid dual-classing as a rule. It just doesnt seem natural to me to be a mage and a fighter etc... Guess thats my opinion, but i always play pure.
Oh and skier, i thought Jaheira was a druid not a cleric, bit of a difference there. ------------------ "I cannot be caged" |

at 10 you get a thac0 bonus for the fighter, not available at 9th
also 10th will allow you to get up high enough in you cleric (w/ the exp. point cap in place) to do 7th level spells when you get to 11th for the cleric you get a prof. slot that you can add cumulativly onto your old fighter prof. check my post on "the best bg2 player character" for details on doing this, it goes into detail on exactly what you should do |
