Oh, I definitely think you should click the linky-linky, Felix! And be sure to provide them with your SSN, date of birth, full and complete name, last five addresses, mother's maiden name, next of kin, and account numbers for all savings, checking, retirement, and investment accounts that you have.

Never can be too safe about these things, you know...

I tried, Linux will not allow me access,

I can't even override it, I have never seen so much red in such a small setting (monitor). I dare not attempt it with the spousal units PC.

I had that same email some time ago as well. Tragically, it fell victim to the big red X.

It's absolutely scary what's on the net these days. People trying to scam my camera, spam my PC, suck people in the get their personal info....

I really feel there should be stronger legislation that forces service providers to have to deal with these things.

Scarily that is a type of mail that paypal can send. A forum where I'm an admin relies on donations to a paypal account and our account got limited for some reason and we did have to go to the resolution center to resolve it...

I'm sure that email is BS, although there's always a chance it could be legit. If you think it might be, always go to the site manually, and never through the link in the email they provide.

For example, click the following Google link:

http://www.google.com@24.173.154.114

Answer "yes" to the redirection question if you get it... pretty sneaky, huh?
