DO you have a CD burner at work? If so, download the patch manually, burn the patch onto a cd and transport it to your home pc and install there.

I have already downloaded the patch and the update for the Updater program. I followed the instructions on the NWN download pages and tried to update, but all the Updater does is say that it can't contact the NWN patch server.
Que?

If you manually install the patch, you don't use the updater at all. The manual patch is just an executable file, right?

My uncle was having internet problems, so I downloaded a patch for him. I took it to his house, popped the disc in, and double clicked the executable file. He hasn't had any problems playing.

The one I downloaded was a ZIP file. Hmmm... Could you let me know the page address?

If i remember right, that should be a self extracting zip file. Check out the nwn.bioware.com site; they have instructions for how to manually update using that zip file. I've done that once myself and it should update the patch updater, toolset, and the game itself.
