Thought I'd let the world know
Added code to prevent non-NWN files from corrupting modules in the Toolset NOTE: As this is only a Toolset update, version 1.20 is multiplayer compatible with version 1.19. This means if you patch to 1.20, and your friend doesn't (and is still using 1.19) you should still be able to play together. [ 07-11-2002, 03:33 AM: Message edited by: Downunda ]

I noticed a kind of bug i hope they adressed- i have a level 7 Sunbeam, and a level 8 sunbeam.
Whenever i have two same spells of different levels, i have to make a separate hotkey for each. However, when i go to make a hotkey for those upper level spells, there is only one "plus-sign" for level 7 8 and i guess 9 spells. I open up the round menu for making hotkey and it ONLY gives the level 7 sunbeam, but the 8 remains unavailable to hotkey. I know that they are separate because after use, the spell in the hotkey bar is shaded over. But then i open up my "spellbook" and there IS still a level 8 Sunbeam available! (unshaded, while the 7 Sunbeam is shaded) I cant use it becuase if i click on it it disappears out of my spellbook of available spells. Is there some other way to set a specific spell into a hotkey slot? Seems weird they should lump all 7 8 and 9 level spells into one dropdown menu. |

There are two Sunbeams? That's not supposed to happen...
I just checked the manual. Sunbeam is only a level 8 spell. Maybe you ran across a bug somewhere. I would suggest not selecting Sunbeam as a level 7 spell. And about the big combined dropdown menu for spell levels 7, 8, and 9...why? I like it how it is, they should keep their own lists like all the other spells...but I would like to see roman numerals there instead of those plus signs. |

Did the patch address anything besides that one thing it said about the Toolset? Seems kind of silly to address just one thing in a patch for a new and buggy game...

You just took Sun as one of your domains. Try it with Healing as well and notice all the multiple healing spells.
If you cant use the radial menu to assign the spells simply drag and drop them from the spellbook. The patching system is built into the game and takes hardly anytime at all to update. I prefer them to get the small patches out fast when they fix bugs rather than wait a month or two for a big patch. |

There are a couple of spells which are available to me at two levels. I have cure serious wounds at both (i think) 3 and 4. I have cure moderate wounds at 3, so of course i only choose to mem the higher one at that level. Maybe because i have very high wisdom? (22 i think now). I am a level 16 or 17 cleric, pure.
Added after reading timtam's post: exactly, those are my 2 domains healing and sun, good call. [ 07-11-2002, 02:39 PM: Message edited by: Evergreene ] |
