I lost Erzebettes letter.....help

I dont know how i did it (i think someone stole it), but i lost Erzebette's letter. I have been completing EVERY quest and this really ticks me off!!! What do you get from the gnome after you deliver the letter. I would like to know if it is something vital or trivial, since i will never get it now. Thanks!!!

Hephaestus gives you a wand of moderate power in exchange for "mailing" the letter. It's not necessary for completion of the game, and no big deal.

cool...i can just use my assasin to steal the wand. He just loves to touch everybody...just the other day i caught him trying to steal from the dragon.
(guess i've been playing this game a little too much the last couple of weeks, but it so addictive)!Thanks and thanks!
