Who gives a toss what OZ are ranked, we don't need rankings to tell us how good we are at sport, we have trophies and medals for that. Schadenfreude is a MARVELOUS THING!!!!!

Well, considering that first place are the winners and second place are just the first of the losers, the Old Dart just happen to be ranked higher among the losers, that's all. Winning and losing are a binary solution set, I'm afraid, since all that matters is hoisting the Cup. So in a logical kind of way, OZ and England are really in the same category in footy.

As for the Reds temporary hiccup, Micky O wasn't playing - we'll flog them at Anfield.

Well...Ehm...
According to the last matches played by Italy, USA has all it takes to win against us.

Just a couple of reminders:
1)Italy was kicked out of World Cup by losing 2-1 against South Korea. There sure was some doubt about the referee(well, no doubt, just a certainty, ask Spain who got kicked out the following turn...), but this doesn't change the fact that we should have sent 'em home to mom with a 4-0.

2)The last two friendly matches was Italy - Azerbaijan 2-0;
Yes, we won... but only 2-0 against Azerbaijan??!! They are 109, somewhere between Uganda and Gabon...

So, don't undervalue USA so much, in fact they got farther than us there in the East.

A quite illogical argument but one I've heard many times from Spurs supporters. Sorry I still don't buy it! 43rd :GUFFAW SMILEY NEEDED:

Of course the USA was just an excuse to bait the Aussies and the Jocks. Only had bites from the Aussies so far!

Don't think we've had an Italian on IW before B_part. Welcome!
1)Er.. you must remember that Italy were very unlucky in the Worldcup. They had numerous goals ruled against them. Two or three goals that Italy scored were disallowed due to offside, but in the replay it was proven that it was bad judgement on the linesmen side. The last World cup was the worst in history when it came to linesmen making the wrong decision.

2)Friendly's doesn't mean anything. Managers often use friendly's just to try out new members, or give the bench a run. Also players don't put in as much effort in Friendly's compared to their club games because they don't want to get an injury that will put them on the sidelines during their club games. I highly doubt that Italy were playing to the best of their ability.

Ozzies will never pass up a hook dangled by a Pom - the Poms seem to have a habit of falling into the water, fishing line and all, when it comes to matters sporting.

You'll notice that I'm the first one from the US to post on this. That's because we have better sports to watch, you realize. MLB, NFL, etc. Just letting you know why, even though the USA ranking is at issue, you're not hearing from any of us.
