In the first city in TOB, where you meet melissan while the city is under seige, there is a young boy who asks you to heal his father. His father is the dead guy in front of the boy. I tried casting raise dead/ressurection, but it wouldn't let me cast it on him, as if he was just scenery. Do you know if there is a way to heal the boy's father?

Select your resurrection-capable character and have them talk to the boy. You'll do it through a dialogue option, it's a cutscene. I have no idea if you actually need raise dead/res memorised for this - I've only done it a couple of times, with a Cleric (never tried Jaheira + Harper's Call), and I've never checked.
This tiny quest gets on my nerves a bit - IIRC it's the only time you can raise a person outside your party and it just begs the question why you can't do it in other more pressing situations. edit - clarification [ 02-07-2003, 07:36 PM: Message edited by: Tag ] |

It also works if you have a Rod of Resurrection...

I find raise dead in one of the quick spell slots and a rod of resurrection works

Heh. I generally use up my rod of resurrection in chapter two. I'm that bad ^_^ Can't remember the reward offhand, think its about 5xp and warm fuzzies for being nice.

My rep would have been 22 at the end of SOA if it could go above 20. I also have a lot of gold. Which should I choose?
