Is it possible to dual-class a True Neutral Human Fighter into a Druid? I know in the manual it says "Characters not allowed dual-class status include paladins, rangers and druids" but if that means that you aren't allowed to dual-class to a druid, how come druid is an option on the dual class page? And also, I've heard people talking about fighter-druid dual-classes (They said dual-class, not multi)

If it is possible, what stats do I need? I've managed to get 18 in Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Wisdom, 16 in Charisma and 5 in Intelligence (I roll for a while sometimes! ) but I couldn't do it?

Thanks,
DJG

Welcome back, DJG! Haven't seen you here for quite a while.

To your question - yes, it is possible to Dual Class your Fighter to a Druid. You need some excpetional stats to do so, though - 15 STR, 17 WIS, 17 CHA, and of course, True Neutral Alignment. For more info, check the Sticky thread.

Thanks!

I wonder why I need 17 Charisma though, because I made a Druid first and read the requirements, which was 15 Charisma, and I assumed that was all I needed. Can anyone answer why I need 17 Charisma and not 15, as required by the druid class?

And I didn't realise it was in the FAQ..... Sorry for making this thread.

I don't know this for sure, but the only reason i could think of is that because your character is a gnarled fighter, an as druids are tree-huggers maybe thats why the increased CHA is necessary.

Its just a thought, if anyone knows different then point and laugh at me and explain why

Hi Alson!

It's been a while since I've been here, I've only been coming here every so often for things, and I'm back! I'm going to try coming back a bit more often now.

And thanks for the help.

When dual classing, you need scores of at least 15 in the primary attribute(s) of your starter class (i.e. STR for your fighter) and at least 17 in the secondary attribute(s) for the class you are dualling to. Since Druids use CHA and WIS for their primary attributes, these therefore both need to be 17 in this particular case.

Enjoy!
Ah. That explains it. I thought it was you needed to have 15 in the attributes of your character, and then you needed the required attributes for the next class.

does a lawful neutral monk with stats of
str 18
dex 18
con 18
int 13
wis 12
ch 3

can duel class into something?
would power items help to increase the stats? like ring of human influence (which rises cha to 18 would let me duel to something that needs 18 cha?)

Nope - Monks cannot Dual under any circumstances. A Dual Class combination is valid only if a Multiclass combination of the two classes exists. Since there's no part-Monk Multiclass, there's no part-Monk Dual Class.

And in reply to your second question - no, items will not help you. When the game determines whether or not you can dual, only base stats are taken into consideration.
