Okay, so I've solved the toads, found the secret room in the crypt but I have two questions: How do I get into the asylum and how do I get past the oracles. Having a bugger of a time with both.

You have to go through the Asylum first. There's a spirit named Nivius in there you have to talk with, swear an Oath to, and then get a ring next to his corpse. Equip the ring and then talk to the Oracles. They will recognize you as the "Chosen One."
