It was basically a battle of the parents, Animal. My mother's from England (but originally of Italian heritage) and my dad's Dutch, so they kind of compromised and went to live in all three countries for a bit, since they both missed their respective homelands. My move to the States was just a random desire to go to college somewhere completely new and off the wall.
How come you ended up in Canada? |

To make a long story short...
Left home when I was 15 and ended up working on an overseas freighter. After a couple of years, I ended up in BC. I moved around BC and AB a bit, but ended up back on the west coast. I can honestly say that the West Coast of Canada is by far and away the best place in the world to live. I'll always have a home here.

I've lived in Selkirk, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg when I was 2. Then, I moved to Ottawa. That's the story of my life.

It was the early 80's when I lived their, so mind you things might have changed. Did you live in Edmonton during the mid 80's. I remember leaving Edmonton Airport about 10min before the Tornado went through. It was very wild to watch!

Same city. Victoria, BC. What's with the heavy Canuck content on this thread? Cool but unusual.
