Damn you Stormfluffer!
Actually my party was low level also, but I would get him to near death and blam, blam, blam something would happen......I did kill ye 'ole shadow dragon pretty easily, but red just wasn't in the cards. When I get out from the pits of doom (underdark) I am going to go kick his a**. My char now is 16 level dual wielding maces with 20 strength and 5/2 attacks....hehe I cut down drow like mowing the lawn.....oh well....BTW how is the weather nowadays in NY.....do I have you to blame for the crappy weather here??? |

MN? isn't it, Moridin? Uh, well, it's worse for you, than me! I'm just getting very cold gray days at the moment. And to add to my misery, the great State Univ system decided in it's infinite wisdom to turn the heat down this week for spring break. So the staff (ie: me etc) gets to sit around in their coats and use "illegal" heating apparatus. hahahaha...
CloudDragon I haven't taken out ye old shadow dragon yet. He's on the hit list now that I've done in Big Red, though! You knock off one red lizard, you get cocky! HAHAHA! |

I beat red most of the way through
Chapter 2, with party about level 10/11. I think I beat him at level 9 or so, the first time I met him (I'd just dualled my kensai-mage at the start of the Windspear Hills), but a party member turned into chunky bits so I reloaded and did other things first. Now I've got a silly big sword and nothing to do with it. No Keldorn for me, I think; he cannot compare to hamster justice! That's actually only a few days ago game time, and I'm about to take out the shadow dragon. Everything went OK (with lots of extra healing potions when I tried until it cast chaos and everybody went crazy. My protagonist was gibbed in the end. I've tried about all the tricks I'd normally use (no traps, not even force attack; want a fair fight), buffing with prep spells until I worry that the first ones will run out while I'm casting, summoning, and staying paused almost the entire time. I expect I'll be luckier next time, but does anyone know an effective way to remove chaos? Dispel magic doesn't seem to work too well for me (maybe the dragon casts at a high level). |
