I used to play WIZARDY on the NES/SuperNES systems back in da' day, but since I've been a computer dude, I've not the chance to occupy my time with this. Now, I am attempting to get back into it, I was curious if there are any versions of any of the WIZARDRY games for Mac? I know all about the various PC versions, but I am a musician and graphic artist and I will not be getting a PC, so no 'change platforms bro' comments, lol! Thanks in advance!

Good question. Interesting enough to make me to some digging. The answer is...Yes/maybe. I found a ton of links to cheat/walkthoughs for Wizardry on the Mac, and I'm sure you're aware that originally the first Wiz'es were Apple ll games. So they were at there *once*. Unfortunately, can't find a single source for getting ahold of them now, including Ebay, abanonware sites, and old Mac-games sites. Here's a link to some general old Mac game resources
You might have better luck just running it under a PC emulator though, or posting to a Mac games forum. Good luck, and I'm curious, so keep us posted. [ 01-05-2002: Message edited by: Merkin ]

I know Wiz8 is not for the Mac and I know the re-release of Wizardry wasn't for Mac.

emulators are great! the Blonde Brigade has a gameboy emulator for playing Pokemon!
no, really, they do. it's on their little handhelds that help them get around dominus! y'know, there's nothing quite like battling Brute Hogars, and Savant Gunners all day, then settling down by the campfire and running Ash around Johto! hmmmph! go ahead and laugh, the Blonde Brigade is used to it! V***V

Thaanks for the update. Hopefully I'll find something. So far, I think some kind of NES/SNES emulator to play the old console versions are the only way for me to go, considering Sir-Tech allows to keep us Mac user's in the dark and unappreciated for our Wizrdry interests. I'll see what, if anything, I can dig up, too... (Still trying to translate post/reply #3, though)....
