some sort of weird glitch

im going to fight sedai right, and i get to the room before. i just killed her personal preistess, but the it warps me into her room for her to send some mind flayers after me. but instead of continuing where i left off it put my characters in the part of the screen where they are not supposed to be. the black part where your not supposed to be able to walk. and my characters were just stuck there. well not all my characters. minsc, my monk, was wearing the big metal unit, and it put him in the part where he would have to fight sedai and all her minions. so using only minsc, i defeated all her minions and vanquished her as well, but even after it still wouldnt let my characters move and i had to quit the game. i havent tried this again, so i dont know if the glitch will repeat, but any suggestions should smething like this happen again?

Probably a bug. If it happens more often, you should download the patch.
