Weird glitch in my game -- permanent "Spiritual Hammer"

I took Anomen with me, but only for a very short time in my new game. I wanted to just have him for a little extra muscle while trying to pluck Keldorn out of the sewers.

When I got down there, I had Anomen cast Spiritual Hammer to help deal with some of the monsters. When I got to Keldorn, it was time to dismiss Anomen, and I did just that, with the spell still active.

Anyway, I went to pick him up a few days later in the Copper Coronet, and he still had the SH active! I kept him in my party for about an hour of real time, I tried sleeping with him in the party, and the spell still never went away! I guess I could try casting "Dispel Magic," but I really don't care either way. As a matter of fact, it looks pretty cool!

I'll pick him up after Spellhold and see what's up. After all, I wouldn't want him spending the rest of his days in the Copper Coronet without ever learning that his sister was murdered!

Heh... maybe it has something to do with you releasing him while it was still active? That's weird... (You should try it with the Absolute Immunity spell )

Due to a similar experience I had with Nalia, I suspect it has to do with the character undergoing a forcible change in area while under a spell effect in the weapon slots.

I had Nalia using a Polymorph Self spell during the boss troll battle at D'Arnise Keep and afterward I had her transform into a sword spider so I could examine the form's characteristics. At this point we're outside the keep, she has her little conversation about becoming the lord of the keep, and we are transported into the dining hall. Afterwards, she is still a sword spider but the icons that would allow her to change back have disappeared. In addition, no amount of Dispelling Magic, Removing Curse, etc. would change her back. I finally booted her out of the party, and to this day a sword spider awaits me in the middle of the Copper Coronet. [img]smile.gif[/img]
