Hello.
 Yesterday I started playing around in Macromedia Flash. It has been alot of fun and am starting to get a little more ambitious when I am playing around with it. Though am very much a novice. And I am wondering what are the best animations programs?  I do not know alot about any other animation or graphics programs or whatever. Have done a little research but only on the net and have not really tried anything else. I know Ziroc does work in this. I have checked out some the pic's he has set up. Very nice, by the way. But does anyone have any reccomendations or preferences when it comes to these types of programs?

Macromedia Fireworks
Animation Shop 2 (Part of Paint Shop Pro 6) Ulead Cool 3D (can do 3D text animations) Xara 3D (can do 3D text animations) There are others, but I can't remember the names right now.

Depends on what you want to do, there are alot of programs and alot of crossover programs to it also.
Flash is great for the web and to make small to semilarge animations. Adobe has a similiar program.. Fireworks, ImageReady and such are mainly for Gif animations, a picture.. Macromedia Director is the largest toatl multimedia package for web and CD multimedia, includiong animations and such, very advanced with its own scripting lanuage. Adobe has Two programs for animation for film effects too. Premiere is mainly for editing film and movie clips together with some basic effects. And After Effects is for more advanced mvie special effects and animations, for the web to movie productions! To make animations though, Flash is a great program to learn, also have a check at Fireworks/Imageready for gif files. For 3D, your wallet has to decide man... Expansive stuff! Yes at the moment I am only doing short cartoon like sequences. Would like to pursue this style a little more, not really 3D stuff but definetly I am trying to incorporate some 3D style effects into the drawings I guess. Wallet has to decide...ah yes...yes. But still just looking to have fun with it right now more than anything. I have some good ideas on the horizon and will certainly get some practice at it.
